Bridge to Recovery Program
1-25 Employees
The goal of the Bridge to Recovery Program is to prevent small businesses from closing and to retain employees during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering funds for operations to include rent/mortgage, salaries, utilities, supplies, and working capital.
Target Market
- Business physically located in Marion County
- Owner and business must both reside in Marion County
- In business for a minimum of 1-year (November 1st, 2019)
- Must be licensed to do business in Marion County/Florida
- The following types of businesses are not eligible: chain or franchise business, real estate investment, multi-level marketing, adult entertainment, or firearms
- Businesses with past due tax liabilities or tax liens, and businesses currently in bankruptcy are not eligible
- Must submit P&L and balance sheet for 2018, 2019 & year to date
- Must submit a plan for how these funds will help sustain them to recovery

Mandatory Financial Review Program
To receive funds, a recipient must complete a 1-hour financial overview class which will be available online

Program Guidelines
- Business must be operational at the time of funding
- Business must provide sufficient information documenting that the jobs would have been lost without these funds
- Business must provide all the required documentation
Use of Funds
- Working capital to enable retention of jobs
- Rent/mortgage
- Utilities
- Supplies
Monitoring and Evaluation
- CEP staff will monitor progress on a quarterly basis for a period of one year

- All of the application process will be completed online
- Requests will be evaluated by a Review Committee
